Xigera Safari Lodge, Botswana
The completely rebuilt Xigera is a bold new safari lodge set in the heart of the Okavango Delta on the aptly named Paradise Island. Opened in 2020, it is surrounded by deep channels and lush vegetation within a remote area of the Moremi Game Reserve.
All but hidden amid a canopy of magnificent indigenous trees, Xigera Safari Lodge offers 12 spacious suites, each fully air conditioned and individually designed to offer a unique experience of the Okavango. Xigera has been innovatively created to protect its pristine environment: it is 100% solar powered, with a dedicated focus on sustainability. For multi-generational safari travellers, there is the impressive two-bedroom Family Suite, located on two islands and bridged together with an extraordinary bronze lily centrepiece, the emblem of Xigera.
Xigera is a unique celebration of African art, culture and creativity: a living gallery of African talent. The lodge showcases an extraordinary collection of pan-African art and design, created by a roster of 76 of Africa’s most globally acclaimed designers. It is a collection that is bold in vision and groundbreaking in its scope, the first of its kind on the continent.
There are two luxury spa treatment rooms, a state-of-the-art gym and serene swimming pool looking out over the Okavango Delta.
Dining at Xigera offers guests a unique culinary safari, seamlessly blending fresh local ingredients and African inspiration, with the tradition of refined cuisine that has long been a hallmark of The Red Carnation Hotel Collection.
