Shinta Mani Wild, Cambodia
Shinta Mani Wild is a game-changing luxury tented camp built along a river valley in the waterfall-laced Cambodian rainforest.
Spaced sporadically along a one-mile stretch of jungle-wrapped river are 15 ultra-exclusive tents, some of which are directly over the rapids. They are elegantly furnished with hardwood beds, elephant tables and spacious decks with large bathtubs overlooking the waterfalls.
Guests of Shinta Mani Wild dine at the camp's Waterfall Restaurant. Elevated Khmer classics feature heavily on the locally sourced, hyper-seasonal menu. Guests are also welc ome to enjoy a drink at the Landing Zone Bar, which has an inviting atmosphere.
Discover more than 70 varieties of orchids with a resident botanist, board a pontoon boat for a river safari, cast off on a Tenkara fly fishing lesson or swim in the roaring waterfall while sipping sundowners.
Shinta Mani Wild is aimed at protecting the nature that surrounds it- funds are used to preserve the sanctuary from poaching, mining and logging. The hotel is reached by car from Phnom Penh, a three-hour drive from the Cambodian capital.
