Ichingo Chobe Lodge
Ichingo Chobe Lodge is the perfect example of a haven in the wilderness. Located on Impalila Island in Namibia’s Chobe River, the lodge offers luxury accommodation in spacious tents with unusual benefits for the area, such as en-suite bathrooms and air conditioning. And while you are resting in the comfortable tent, in the river below you can see and hear hippos and crocodiles. The island itself has plenty to offer to tourists, including walks to the local village and meeting the people there, as well as hikes to some of the largest baobab trees in the world. You can also go fishing in the river or go on a river safari and watch elephants, lions, giraffes and zebras drink water from the river. The food at Ichingo Chobe is prepared by professional local chefs and most of the produce is from the lodge’s own vegetable garden. And if you’ve never seen a herd of elephants swim across a river, then this is the perfect place for you to witness this happening!
