Villa Treville, Italy
Villa Treville is a unique, boutique hideaway set within a spectacular, cliffside estate overlooking the clear blue waters of Positano, one of the jewels of Italy’s fabled Amalfi coast. The former home of renowned Italian film director Franco Zeffirelli, Villa Treville has hosted a great deal of famous people throughout the years, including Pablo Picasso, Marilyn Monroe, Coco Chanel, Placido Domingo and many others, who all enjoyed the panoramic views of the Italian coastline.
The property is the first 5-star luxury hotel villa complex on the Amalfi Coast where emphasis is created with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring a well-deserved time out to relax and recharge. This private Eden is comprised of five mesmerizing villas directly facing Positano and surrounded by lush gardens.
There are only 12 rooms at the property, all named after previous owners, famous visitors or operatic works of Zeffirelli. At Maestro’s restaurant, situated on a vine-covered open terrace with panoramic views of Positano and the blue sea, guests can enjoy Italian food cooked with fresh local produce and seasonal ingredients.
