The intimate 10 bedroom hotel has a great history to tell. This historic hunting lodge has featured in John Buchan’s The 39 Steps, was the boyhood home of Royal Navy submarine ace Lieutenant Commander Malcolm David Wanklyn VC, and played a pivotal role as the secret meeting place for Churchill and Eisenhower as they planned the D-Day landings.
