Four Seasons Astir Palace, Greece
Since the 1960s, Astir Palace has been one of Greece’s most loved hotels, and after a complete revamp by Four Seasons, the hotel where Jackie Kennedy, Brigitte Bardot and Frank Sinatra would often stay is looking better than ever before. Sitting on the Athens Riviera, on a private pine-covered peninsula, the Four Seasons Astir Palace is the group’s first property in Greece, and they could not have chosen a better place.
The hotel has 303 rooms, spread across two buildings: Arion and Nafsika. Nafsika is the livelier of the two where every room has a sea view; Arion has a more muted, grown-up atmosphere with rooms designed in a retro-chic style.
The hotel has 8 restaurants and bars: Pelagos is the hotel’s signature restaurant specializing in Greek seafood, Mercato is an Italian trattoria and Taverna 37 is a beachfront restaurant with a menu of mezzes and salads. The hotel is also home to a cigar lounge and a Latin American grill.
At Four Seasons Astir Palace there are three sandy, shallow bays; two heated swimming pools, a spa centre, fitness, kids club and many water sport options. It’s a 45-minute drive to the Acropolis and 30 minutes from Athens International Airport.
